Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer
We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the infrastructure that powers NaijaWetinDey. You will design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available systems that serve millions of users across Nigeria. Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple services (Node.js microservices, React Native mobile app)
- Architect and maintain containerized environments with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes
- Monitor system health, performance, and security — proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP) with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Ensure database reliability, backups, and disaster recovery for MongoDB clusters
- Collaborate with developers to streamline deployment and testing workflows
- Implement security best practices across the entire infrastructure
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
- Deep knowledge of Node.js ecosystem and its operational challenges
- Strong experience with MongoDB: replication, sharding, performance tuning
- Expert-level Docker and Kubernetes skills — you dream in YAML
- Proven track record with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and Infrastructure as Code
- Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go)
- Understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and firewall management
- Passion for building inclusive technology for African communities
